The client

University College of London (UCL) is one of the world’s leading multi-disciplinary universities, with more than 11,000 staff and 39,000 students from 150 different countries.

When the opportunity presented itself to work with the esteemed establishment we jumped at the chance to get involved with the project.

The Requirements

The university was in the process of refurbishing both their council room and conference suite and required the following bespoke carpentry: two tables, curved media unit, storage units, and a refreshment station.

Bespoke carpentry

The project required the joiners to build in a curved media and storage unit to be flush against the wall.  To ensure that we eliminated any potential for error, all the timber that was used for this piece was cut on our CNC machine to achieve the perfect fit.

Due to the volume of individual timber slats and complexity of the assembly. The client asked the joinery to install all units.

The metal work

For the project we were also instructed to build two tables. One being 6.2m x 2.6m and the other 3m x 2m, which required fully bespoke chrome angled legs and frame work.

Collaborating with a ironmongers we were about to source the right design to meet the clients brief.

If you have any upcoming bespoke carpentry requirements we’d love to hear from you so get in touch today.
