Bespoke joinery
Client: Werner Capital
Designer: Lees Associates
Project type: Commercial joinery – supply and fit
Joinery requirements: Fitted storage units, walk-in wardrobe, dressing areas in bedrooms, full height mirrored units in vestibules, and two individual bi-folding doors sets
Address: St George’s Hill, Weybridge
Working directly for an investment company FJL built & installed a wide range of joinery, including fitted storage units, such as walk-in wardrobe and dressing areas in bedrooms, full height mirrored units in vestibules and two individual 3.5m high 8no bi-folding doors sets.
The project also included handmade curved skirting and freestanding solid Iroko benches in wet rooms and proprietary external doors.
As St. George’s Hill is one of the most exclusive areas to live in the country the design specification was incredibly high and involved many different types of materials, finishes and joinery techniques.
The main timber material was lime effect American white oak, dark stained European oak, and American Black Walnut. Large mirrored, metal framed doors were constructed with a Polypropylene honeycomb core that reduces weight without compromising stability.
