The Wren Cafe

Falkus was commissioned to build and install a seven metre long coffee counter and two individual storage units in the St Nicholas Cole Abbey. The counter and the storage units were manufactured from French oak, Wenge, Maple, Oak veneered birch ply with a white Corian worktop. It was key to the brief that the counter and the storage units appeared to be manufactured from a continuous piece of oak in each case. The face of the counter was designed to reflect the aerial view of the London streets surrounding the Cafe. The Wren cafe's location was marked with a small Wren motif.
